Food For Thought founder and president Timothy Fitzgerald Young.
To create and raise awareness around just and sustainable food.
That is our goal. At Food For Thought, we are passionate about our food and food sources. We have relationships with our farmers, purchase fair trade sugar and are in constant search of ingredients that not only meet our high quality standards, but are also responsibly grown and sourced – organic, non-GMO, fair trade. We make products that help sustain and preserve our natural world, and are also the best quality available anywhere.
We also strive to be a model of corporate responsibility that is expressed, in part, through our unwavering commitment to organic foods. This commitment has a direct and positive impact on the quality of land and water, and that’s just the beginning. Please read our section “Why Organic” to learn more. We aspire to walk gently on this earth in pursuit of sustainable living. Please call, write or e-mail us if you’d like more information.
A small, certified organic production facility, Food For Thought is located in northern Michigan in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Our building was carefully built with concern for the planet, using green and recycled materials. That same care and concern is put into our products, which are small batch, family farmed, use intentional ingredients and are finished with a great deal of love and commitment.
I sincerely hope you enjoy our product and feel good about your purchase. Our founding roots not only challenge us to produce high quality and great tasting products, but to do it in a responsible and ethical manner. If you have any comments, we’d love to hear them. We’ve made many improvements in our service based on customer feedback.
With the kindest regards,
Timothy F. Young
We partner with local and Michigan farmers and have on-going relationships with them.
